Also known as: Call For Votes
Short for Call For Votes, the article that formally opened balloting on a Big 8 group proposal after its Request For Discussion. Votes were mailed to a neutral votetaker, and the traditional threshold required at least a hundred more yes votes than no votes plus a two-thirds majority. The Big-8 Management Board later replaced open voting with board decision, so a CFV is now historical.
