A cross-group harassment campaign running from 1996 into 1998, in which participants originating from alt.fan.karl-malden.nose flooded targeted groups with off-topic articles, the word meow, and forged posts. It escalated into sporgery and mailbombing and drove some groups into disuse. Now of historical interest, it is cited as an early case of coordinated online brigading and of how little defence unmoderated groups had.
